Description:Mellotron is a music creation app that brings classic, vintage tape keyboard sounds to your device. Play iconic strings, choirs, and flutes, layer tones, and shape warm textures for songwriting, live performance, and sound design. With expressive controls and studio-quality effects, it delivers the character of a retro instrument with a fast, modern workflow. Ideal for musicians, producers, and creators seeking a portable virtual instrument and music production tool. Core features include vintage-inspired tape instrument presets, powerful layering and sound shaping with envelopes and filters, and an integrated effects chain with tape saturation, chorus, delay, and reverb plus one-tap recording and easy audio export for sharing or further production in a DAW. Works great on its own or with a connected MIDI keyboard for expressive play.
HOW TO USE:1. Download and open the app, connect headphones or speakers, and allow audio permissions if prompted to ensure the best sound quality. 2. Open the Library and select a preset to load classic strings, choirs, flutes, or other tape-inspired sounds, then audition a few to find your tone. 3. Perform on the on-screen keyboard and refine the sound using attack, release, filter, and layer blend controls to shape warmth and texture. 4. Add effects such as tape saturation, chorus, delay, and reverb, then adjust levels to fit your mix or live set. 5. Tap Record to capture your performance and export high-quality audio for sharing or use in your DAW; connect a MIDI keyboard in Settings for enhanced expression and control.
